The boy was only five years old, and it was his first time in a swimming pool.
The day camp counselors and swimming club lifeguards responsible for supervising him were supposed to watch the child and keep him safe. They failed to do so, and the five-year-old ended up in the deep end of the pool, where he drowned.
According to the case, there was still an opportunity to save the boy after he was discovered. However, the counselors and lifeguards responsible for his safety did not know how to properly perform CPR.
